Hello! I'm Kayla and these are various curriculum's I've tried and did not like and others that I've fallen in love with(from a students perspective)

Monarch by Alpha omega publications:

I rate this a 3/5. It's interactive, but at times it can get dull and boring. I love the tools and guides I have access to while using monarch. If you ever need a refresh on a lesson, I love that they make it very convenient to go back into that lesson and review the work. Partially automatically grades, questions which require a typed or written answer are graded by the parent, projects are also graded by the parent.

Teaching Textbooks by Greg Sabouri and Shawn Sabouri:

I rate this a 5/5. I have fallen in love with it. It is so interactive and it grabs your attention. It makes math fun for once. I love how convenient it is(CD ROM optional) if you have a laptop, you don't even have to have WIFI to work it. Just pop a CD in and work away. They also have the paper textbook for those who work better on paper. Automatically grades EVERYTHING(a plus for those homeschool moms & dads out there)

Lifepac by Alpha omega publications:

I rate this a 2/5. Although it is a good curriculum, it was not attention grabbing. The lessons seemed very dragged out. Grading system is kind of jumbled, the scale changes to frequently between units and tests and projects.

Saxon math by Saxon Homeschool:

I rate this a 4/5. Although it's a very good curriculum it just was not for me. I liked the very thorough lessons, but at times the lessons seemed endless. Although it was not meant for me, does not mean it wont work for you. Grading system was good, even across the board for lessons and tests.

Upcoming curriculum's:

  • Easy grammar by Wanda Phillips

  • The Elegant Essay Writing Lessons, Building Blocks for Analytical Writing by Lesha Myers

  • Wordly Wise, systematic Academic Vocabulary Development by Kenneth Hodkinson and Sandra Adams

  • To Kill A Mockingbird student study guide by David M. Wright

  • Lessons of King Arthur and his court student study guide to Legends of King Arthur and his court by Jacob Noonan

  • Germanlab 1 by Instant Immersion

All opinions are my own, nor am I being payed to review these curriculum's. I do not own the rights to any company mentioned.
